SCCM Integration Starter Service

This Service configures and enables the integration of configuration data from Customer’s existing Microsoft SCCM environment into the BMC Helix ITSM CMDB.

What you get:

Data retrieved from Microsoft SCCM will be imported into BMC Helix ITSM CMDB with the out-of-the-box integration transformation included in the BMC Adapter for Microsoft SCCM. The Microsoft SCCM CI data will be normalized and reconciled by using out-of-the-box rules provided in the integration package. 

Any deviations from the out-of-the-box normalization and reconciliation activities will be the responsibility of the Customer to define and configure.  This integration starter service assumes the Microsoft SCCM data source is the sole source of targeted CI data and it is designed to import all CI attributes “as is” from the source.

BMC will perform the following:

  • Conduct workshop on the integration and CMDB classes
  • Prepare a Solution Design Document 
  • Install and configure the BMC Adapter for Microsoft SCCM
  • Prepare a Construction Document to document changes
  • Prepare a Test Plan Document for Customer testing 
  • Import Microsoft SCCM CI’s and relationships into BMC Helix ITSM CMDB 
  • Configure and run out-of-the-box SCCM normalization and reconciliation jobs
  • Provide assistance to the Customer for migrating to production environment

Customer Responsibilities:

  • Provide access credentials to 
    • Microsoft SCCM and its related database
    • BMC Helix ITSM
  • Provide infrastructure and access to install and configure the BMC Helix Gateway server (if required)
  • Provide the necessary technical resources on the agreed start date

Deliverables: Using BMC’s standard methodology and templates, the following Deliverables are in scope for this project and will be delivered:

  • Solution Design Document
  • Construction Document
  • Test Plan document

Completion Criteria: BMC will have completed these Consulting Services when the in-scope Consulting Services have been completed and the Deliverables have been delivered to the Customer Project Manager.

Pre-requisites:

  • Customer to provide relevant access credentials with permissions to: 
    • Microsoft SCCM Database Tables and/or Views
    • BMC Helix ITSM
  • Customer is running at these release levels or later
    • Microsoft SCCM Application is version 2007, 2012 or 1511 to 2303
    • BMC Helix ITSM from 21.02 up to 23.3 (SaaS and On-Premise Version)
    • Atrium Integrator 9.0
  • Customer has the Microsoft SQL JDBC driver
  • Kaazing Gateway needs to be configured to connect with Microsoft SCCM database (if necessary)
