BMC Helix Continuous Optimization Starter Service

What you get:

BMC will perform the following in one environment:

• Conduct a workshop of up to two days to cover BHCO in Customer’s environment
• Configure the following:
  • Up to four Remote ETL* Engine (“REE”) Servers
  • One out of the box ETL* module for up to 8000 virtual servers, using one of the following ETL’s:
    • VMware vCenter
    • Red Hat^® Enterprise Virtualization
    • Oracle^® Enterprise Manager
    • OpenStack
  • One out of the box ETL module using one of the following cloud providers:
    • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
    • Microsoft Azure (Azure)
    • Google Cloud Platform
    • IBM Cloud^®
  • Up to two service domains in BHCO
  • Up to five BHCO models for analyzing and forecasting capacity data
  • Up to three Simple* and two Moderate* BMC Helix dashboards for BHCO with up to 10 metrics per dashboard. Dashboards must contain BHCO data only
• Assist Customer during functional testing
• Prepare the following documentation:
  • Solution Design Document
  • Test Strategy and System Test Plan document
  • Construction Document

  Customer will be responsible for:

  • Providing access to:
    • Capacity management administrators
    • Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for the virtualization platform to be integrated
    • SMEs in relation to the service domains and templates to be configured
  • Providing access and privileges to systems and applications to be integrated
  • Providing access to Customer’s BHCO environment
  • Deploying infrastructure to host REE servers
  • Creating functional test plan
  • Conducting functional testing
  • Ensuring connectivity access from Customer’s environment to BHCO platform via the REE Servers

  Deliverables: Using BMC’s standard methodology and templates, the following Deliverables are in scope for this project and will be delivered:

  • Solution Design Document
  • Test Strategy and Test Plan
  • Construction Document

  Completion Criteria: BMC will have completed these Consulting Services when the in-scope Consulting Services have been completed and the Deliverables have been delivered to the Customer Project Manager.

Pre-requisites:

• Firewalls are configured to allow communication from the REE Servers to BHCO and REE servers to target virtual platform and cloud provider
• Access credentials and connectivity are available for the following integrated platforms:
  • Existing virtualization platform
  • Existing cloud provider
• BHCO must be provisioned and available
