Control-M Managed File Transfer Enterprise Deployment Service


This Service installs and configures the Control-M Managed File Transfer Enterprise (MFTe) solution in one existing non-production Control-M environment using a high-availability topology to be able to securely automate data operations management with external business partners.

What you get:

BMC will perform the following on one Control-M environment:

  • Install Control-M MFTeHub and Gateway in one existing Control-M environment using a high-availability topology
  • Configure Control-M MFTe global options
  • Configure and deploy one Inbound and one Outbound Control-M MFTe scenario for External Control-M MFTe (i.e., business-to-business)
  • Configure Customer’s designated users – one per supported protocol (e.g. HTTP, FTPS, SFTP)
  • Configure and test automated Control-M MFTe monitoring and alerts
  • Test Control-M User interfaces including Control-M MFTe Dashboard, Track and Trace console, Control-M Batch Impact Manager, and Control-M Archive (if applicable)
  • Present recommended Control-M MFTe support and maintenance best practices
  • Document Control-M MFTe deployment and global configurations
  • Prepare final versions of Solution Design Document, Test Plan, Test Results Report, and Construction Document
  • Conduct hand-off session with Customer

Customer will be responsible for:

  • Providing access to their internal domain expert resources, such as schedulers, application development, automation beneficiaries, file transfer beneficiaries
  • Providing the necessary technical resources for the installation and configuration, such as infrastructure and network administrators

Deliverables: Using BMC’s standard methodology and templates, the following Deliverables are in scope for this project and will be delivered:

  • Solution Design Document 
  • Test Plan Document
  • Test Results Report
  • Construction Document

Completion Criteria: BMC will have completed these Consulting Services when the in-scope Consulting Services have been completed and the Deliverables have been delivered to the Customer Project Manager.


Customer must complete the required activities as described in the Service-Start Prerequisite Document provided by BMC prior to the start of engagement.
